KimNu

Personally, having lost my father in 2015 and my mother in 2023, both to cancer, I choose to contribute to the Canadian Cancer Society as it funds cancer research and provides essential services and support to those living with cancer in their communities. Kim, in turn, selects Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind for the tremendous impact, education, and advancements it provides to her niece, McKenzie Rose Bartholomew, and all its students who are visually &/or hearing impaired.

Collaborating with fellow artists not only fosters growth and exploration but also makes the process incredibly enjoyable. We invite you to enhance the walls of your homes, offices, and favorite spaces with one of a kind KimNu original pieces, thereby joining us in contributing to two worthy causes; uniting in the support of charity through art.

KimNu is a creative collaboration between Kim Pittman Bartholomew and myself, Renu Bourne. The name is a fusion of our first names, Kim and Nu (Renu).

Kim P Bartholomew is a mixed media, abstract artist, her work is steeped in patterns of stylized silhouettes, curvilinear visual rhythm, and symbolic (rather than realistic) colors and shapes. She describes her art as “an offering of personal, devotional, and confessional images – a visual journal on display.”

Our partnership extends beyond geographic boundaries, with Kim based in Roswell, Georgia, and me in Toronto, Canada. Despite the distance, our artistic collaboration has forged a deep connection, not only in our creative endeavors but also in our shared commitment to supporting charities near and dear to our hearts. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of KimNu original artwork will be donated to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (Kim's chosen charity) and the Canadian Cancer Society (my chosen charity). Together we are crafting a charitable impact.

Babbling Brook, 2023 --- SOLD

12” x 16”, Framed Acrylic Painting on Textured Panel

Babbling Brook was inspired by a water feature on Kim’s property. We were intrigued by the water flowing, bubbling and babbling over the rocks. Working together we were able to blend both our artist styles into this contemporary abstract piece.

On the Rocks, 2023

16” x 12”, Framed Acrylic Painting on Textured Panel

On the Rocks was also inspired by the water feature Kim has on her property. Our interest was in the negative space around the rocks. This piece would look amazing in a bar area.

Wishing Well, 2023

16” x 12”, Framed Acrylic Painting on Textured Panel

Wishing Well emerged from the rocks organically. It started with a focus on the water ripples and turned into a story. The story of a princess who tossed a coin in the well and wished for her heart’s desire. As an extension, we offer well wishes to all who encourage and support the arts.

The Heart of the Matter, 2024

The Heart of the Matter is a testament to the enduring power of friendship, reminding us of the joy found in a genuine connection.

Fallen Yet Found 2023

31” x 25” x 2.75” Framed Integrated Assemblage in Shadowbox

Fallen Yet Found is our very first KimNu collaboration. This single leaf we plucked from the ground while on a hike together, became a eureka moment for us! We quickly began discussing how to integrate our found leaf into an original work of art. The painted leaf is now encased in a frame within a shadow box becoming a treasured keepsake. This launched a discussion of how we could parlay our partnership into charitable contributions. We soon launched our creative collaboration that now benefits both of our charitable causes! We found powerful purpose in this fallen leaf, as a portion of all KimNu profits will benefit Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind as well as the Canadian Cancer Society.

KimNu original art pieces are sold in USD and are shipped out of the US. We thank you in advance for your support of our art with heart!
